Mine would have to be music, I work my ass off at it and I love it, it's the best release for anything, like writing or acting is because if you want to write a song about something and it's going to have impact then you have to honestly confront your personality and any issues you may be having in a direct and totally honest way. Completely opposite to what the jw's teach, this is probably why they always warn against it.

COverseer 'freindly' Extremism
by be wise ini still live with my parents and they are both jw's.
when the co does his visit, the house has an uncomfortable quiteness about it for a week or so, nobody talks as much, my mother acts more stranger than usual and trys to put on a fake personality.
is this just my experience or does it happen to anyone else?

... and yet they give off this impression to everyone else it's just a friendly visit, they visit peoples houses, make crap jokes, smile a lot when all along they are just doing checks for the organisation.

Looking Forward To Ur Free Life Or Stil Reflecting And Living A Bitter Past
by m0nk3y inhaving grown up in the jw teaching till the age of 21 and having an alcoholic/abusive father not to mention other f*%$ed up past elements of my life .. i have to say i am overall looking forward to my future as i'm now free of jw oppression.
but what i have notice a great deal in this forum is there alot of x-jws that are very bitter about their past lives and seem completely focused on how f*%$ed up their lives have been.
they don't seem to have an ounce of positveness to their attitude and this concerns me.

I think there are a lot of screwed up things about this world other than just religious fanaticism. Life should be about learning from your experiences and moving on, these experiences make you stronger as a person and wiser. I don't understand people who make a concious effort to try and hook things on the ORG. Does it really have to matter that much, who cares, why waste your time on such nonsense as this.

Blessings or our Imagination

jw's saw god's hand everywhere in our lives.
if we had good news, a good job, good health, it was because god was blessing us.

I feel I'm just entering that stage now, I'm really open to experiencing life and it shows, people are just really responsive to me and feed off it. I really like your attitude you've found your true self, which not a massive amount of people actually attempt to do.

I never felt 'blessed' in the ORG anyway, I never, ever felt anything 'divine' or whatever you want to call it and believe me I was one of those that people thought was so into it and all that, when I prayed at night I used to fall asleep, pretty funny when you think about it really.
